I have read with great regret the minute of His Honour the Officer Administering the Government dated 10th instant in reply to your letter reporting my arrival.
2. I would respectfully beg that the following facts be brought to the notice of the Executive Council for their favourable consideration.
1. I was appointed at a salary of two thousand six hundred and forty dollars as Assistant Harbour Master by the Right Honourable the Secretary of State (under Pr. M. Rumrily 8.2. (Ruth)) Harbour Master, Hong Kong, R.N.
